Introduction
Weapons mods in Sandboxels are sandbox toys: tools for experimenting with destruction, force and explosions in a simulation, not instructions for anything real. This directory lists two relevant mods: Weapons (weapons.js, by Jayd), a variety of different weapons, and Classic Explosives (classic_explosives.js, by R74n), which re-adds four explosives removed in game version 1.9.3.
Using them responsibly in the sandbox
- Work on a copy of a scene, not your only save. Explosives and weapons destroy things — that is their purpose.
- Test one weapon or explosive at a time, in an empty area, before using it in a built scene.
- Keep humans and animals out of test areas if you want to preserve a scene, and save before experimenting.
Classic Explosives in particular
Because these four explosives were removed from the base game in v1.9.3 and restored by this mod, they may behave differently from current vanilla explosives. Do not assume a classic explosive has the same radius, trigger or chain behaviour as a modern one — test it.
Conflicts to watch for
Weapons and explosives mods often change damage, explosion or fire behaviour. If another mod also changes those systems, test the combination in an empty scene first, and disable the newest addition if results become unpredictable.
